The Murtala Muhammed Airport Area Command of the Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) has announced a revenue haul of ₦202.9 billion between January and December 2025, marking a 13% increase over the previous year.
Customs Area Controller, Comptroller G.A. Otunla, disclosed that the Command achieved 113% of its annual revenue target, attributing the success to improved trader compliance, tighter monitoring of import transactions, swift detection of irregularities, and measures to curb leakages.
Otunla commended the professionalism of officers and men of the Command, alongside collaboration with sister security agencies, which he described as vital to the achievement. He also acknowledged the role of compliant traders and licensed customs agents in reaching the milestone.
Reaffirming the Command’s commitment to transparency, accountability, and stakeholder engagement, Otunla assured that efforts will be intensified in 2026 to sustain momentum, strengthen enforcement, and enhance service delivery at Nigeria’s premier aviation gateway.
