Moniepoint Inc., Africa’s all-in-one financial ecosystem and Nigeria’s leading platform for small businesses, has released its 2025 Year in Review, celebrating a decade of “financial happiness” and transformative growth.
With over 6 million active businesses on its platform, Moniepoint’s microfinance bank has now disbursed more than ₦1 trillion in credit, empowering thousands of enterprises — from provision stores and supermarkets to building material suppliers. On average, these businesses recorded 36% growth after accessing credit, underscoring Moniepoint’s role as a catalyst for shared prosperity.
Leveraging alternative data such as transaction histories and payment behaviors, Moniepoint continues to expand financial inclusion by serving businesses overlooked by traditional credit scoring.
Moniepoint MFB processed ₦412 trillion in transaction value across 14 billion transactions, powering 8 out of 10 in-person payments nationwide. It launched MonieWorld UK, strengthening remittance corridors and cross-border financial services for the African diaspora. The company closed Series C round of $200 million, backed by Visa, Google’s Africa Investment Fund, IFC, DPI, and Verod Capital. In its savings innovation, it re-launched savings product with daily saving habits focused on business operations (24%), rent (16.5%), and education (10%).
TeamApt Ltd secured Mastercard and Visa licenses as processor/acquirer; Monnify processed ₦25 trillion in web payments. It partnered with FG on the Rice Intervention Programme (850,000 beneficiaries) and supported Kaduna State grants for vulnerable citizens as part of its corporate social responsibility.
“Our journey has been one of intentional evolution,” said Tosin Eniolorunda, Group CEO and Founder. “What began as solving overlooked problems has grown into a platform powering the dreams of millions. As Africa’s informal economy accounts for 83% of employment, our mission to create financial happiness remains our guiding mandate.”
Looking ahead, Eniolorunda emphasized Moniepoint’s strengthened partnerships, expanded infrastructure, and unwavering resolve to unlock Africa’s entrepreneurial potential: “The journey is far from over, but our conviction has never been stronger.”
Moniepoint’s decade-long evolution — from backend technology provider to household name — aligns seamlessly with Nigeria’s vision of a more inclusive, data-driven, and productive financial landscape. Positioned at the heart of SME growth, Moniepoint is set to play a defining role in Nigeria’s march toward a trillion-dollar economy by 2030.
