The President-General of the Maritime Workers’ Union of Nigeria (MWUN), Comrade Bunu, has extended warm greetings to women across the globe on the occasion of International Women’s Day.
In his message, he described women as “the most precious gift the Almighty God has bestowed on the planet to make the world a beautiful place to reside.” He emphasized that life without women would be hollow, boring, and unmeaningful, noting that their presence bridges the gap to make existence enduring, enjoyable, and lovable.
Comrade Bunu hailed women as “the salt of the earth,” underscoring their indispensable role in family, society, and nation-building. He stressed that without women, the replication of humanity would not have been possible, and the world would lack joy and meaning.
While celebrating women everywhere, he made special mention of female comrades within the Maritime Workers’ Union of Nigeria, urging them to remain strong, resilient, and proud in the global community of women. He reaffirmed his admiration for their contributions and expressed pride in their unwavering strength.
