President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has lauded the Comptroller-General of the Nigeria Customs Service, Dr. Bashir Adewale Adeniyi MFR, for his foresight in conceptualizing and delivering the new Federal Operations Unit (FOU) Zone A office complex in Iperu Remo, Ikenne Local Government Area of Ogun State.
The President, who arrived at the facility at about 3:08 p.m. shortly after inaugurating the state’s cargo airport, praised Adeniyi’s proactive leadership in providing a befitting operational base for the Customs Service.
The newly commissioned complex features modern office buildings, residential quarters, warehouses, and a training college designed to enhance operational efficiency and capacity development within the service.
Declaring the facility open, President Tinubu stated: “I hereby declare this building open, to the glory of God.”
The dual commissioning of the Ogun Cargo Airport and the Customs FOU Zone A office marks a significant milestone in strengthening Nigeria’s trade infrastructure and boosting regional economic development.
