The Kanwan Katsina and District Head of Ketare, Alhaji Usman Bello Kankara mni, has called on all communities under his leadership in Kankara Local Government Area to actively support the newly launched e-Birth Registration program introduced by the Katsina State Government.
In a statement released by his Media Aide, Jamilu Hashimu Gora (Sarkin Labarun Kanwan Katsina), the traditional ruler directed village and ward heads across Ketare District to ensure that every birth is promptly registered using the new electronic system.
Alhaji Usman Bello Kankara emphasized that the e-registration platform will help the government maintain accurate population data, which is essential for effective planning in key sectors such as education, healthcare, and social development.
He further highlighted that the e-Birth Certificate issued through this system will serve as the official document required for school enrollment and access to various government programs and benefits. Parents are therefore urged to safeguard these certificates diligently.
To ensure smooth implementation, the Kanwan Katsina instructed local leaders to act as liaison officers between families and registration officials, helping to guarantee that no child is left unregistered.
This initiative builds on the District Head’s longstanding commitment to birth registration. In 2018, he was commended by the National Population Commission for his support and cooperation in promoting birth registration in Ketare District.
Alhaji Usman Bello Kankara reaffirmed his unwavering support for the success of the e-Birth Registration initiative and pledged continued collaboration with government agencies to ensure full coverage across his domain.
