ANLCA Honours ACG Olomu, Pledges Full Support to Comptroller Osoba

In a gesture of deep appreciation, the Apapa chapter of the Association of Nigerian Licensed Customs Agents (ANLCA) presented a prestigious award to outgoing Customs Area Controller, Assistant Comptroller General (ACG) Babatunde Olomu, PhD, during a formal handover ceremony held on Monday, 8th September 2025, at the Apapa Command headquarters.

Speaking at the event, Chief (Hon.) Emeka Chukwumalu, Executive Chairman of ANLCA Apapa chapter, praised ACG Olomu’s exemplary leadership, describing his tenure as one defined by transparency, strategic stakeholder engagement, and an unwavering pursuit of operational excellence.

“ACG Olomu’s open-door policy and collaborative approach not only fostered harmony among stakeholders but also significantly boosted revenue generation and improved overall efficiency at the command,” Chief Chukwumalu remarked.

As the mantle of leadership passed to Comptroller Emmanuel Osoba, ANLCA extended a warm welcome and pledged its unwavering support. Chief Chukwumalu encouraged the new Area Controller to build on the legacy of his predecessor by maintaining open lines of communication and prioritizing stakeholder engagement.

“We are confident in your capacity to lead and we assure you of our maximum cooperation. May God grant you strength, wisdom, and good health to steer the affairs of this premier Customs command successfully,” he added.

The ceremony marked a moment of reflection and renewed commitment to partnership between Customs and licensed agents, setting the tone for continued progress at Apapa Port.
