The Customs Officers\u2019 Wives Association (COWA), Oyo\/Osun Area Command, has reaffirmed its commitment to community service by showering gifts on vulnerable children and widows across the region. Led by its Chairperson, Mrs. Omowunmi Adewole, visited the Ibadan Motherless Babies Home and the House of Providence Special School for Children with Intellectual Disabilities, where members extended compassion and solidarity to children in need of care and support. <\/p>\n
Speaking during the visits, Mrs. Adewole expressed gratitude to the National President of COWA, Dr. Mrs. Adeniyi Kikelomo, for her guidance and exemplary leadership, which continue to inspire members nationwide. She emphasized that the outreach reinforced the importance of love, care, and inclusion for children in motherless homes and those with special needs, stressing that every child deserves the opportunity to grow, thrive, and feel valued. <\/p>\n
Gift items were presented to the children at both institutions to support their welfare and development. Mrs. Adewole commended the caregivers and management teams for their dedication, describing their work as impactful and deserving of recognition. <\/p>\n
In furtherance of its welfare initiatives, the Association also extended support to widows of Customs officers. Items were presented to them as a reaffirmation of COWA\u2019s commitment to the well-being of officers\u2019 families, ensuring they are not left behind. <\/p>\n
Mrs. Adewole concluded by reiterating COWA\u2019s resolve to continue making meaningful contributions to society, noting that even small acts of kindness can create lasting hope and positive change.
