The Deputy President of the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) and President of the International Transport Workers\u2019 Federation (ITF), Comrade (Dr.) Adewale Adeyanju, has commended the strength and resilience of women across the globe in commemoration of this year\u2019s International Women\u2019s Day. <\/p>\n
The immediate past President-General of the Maritime Workers\u2019 Union of Nigeria described women as the \u201cmothers of all nations\u201d and the very source of life from which humanity sprang. He emphasized that without women, the world would be an empty space, devoid of meaning and vitality. <\/p>\n
Prince Adeyanju, known for his deep respect for women\u2014especially mothers\u2014encouraged them to remain steadfast in their various fields of endeavor. He reminded them that there is dignity in labour everywhere in the world, noting that the most successful women today are those who have refused to be cowed or oppressed in a male-dominated society. <\/p>\n
The distinguished labour leader urged women to continue upholding their rights and to take their rightful place in leadership, nation-building, and peace sustenance. He described women as natural symbols of peace and pillars of progress in every society. <\/p>\n
Adeyanju expressed gratitude to women excelling in their professions, urging them to remain role models and lead by example.
