Engineer Sarat Braimah, Lagos Area Manager of the National Inland Waterways Authority (NIWA), has been conferred with the prestigious Nelson Mandela Pan African Leadership Award by the Stay Africa Youth Development Initiative (SAYDI). <\/p>\n
The Ghana-based organization, led by President Dominic Mensah, presented the award in Lagos, recognizing Braimah\u2019s outstanding dedication to national service and transformative leadership. <\/p>\n
Ambassador Mensah explained that Braimah was nominated by SAYDI\u2019s Nigerian chapter for her remarkable achievements at NIWA Lagos, including youth empowerment initiatives, support for the Lagos State government, and her commitment to fairness, teamwork, and integrity. He emphasized that her career journey serves as an inspiration to young Africans, particularly women aspiring to leadership roles in the maritime sector. <\/p>\n
\u201cOur mission is to identify tomorrow\u2019s leaders today by inspiring and mentoring young Africans to remain on the continent and contribute to its sustainable development. Leaders like you embody the values we seek to promote,\u201d Mensah stated. <\/p>\n
In addition to the award, Braimah received a certificate of excellence and was inducted into the Pan African Leadership Hall of Fame as an \u201camazon of nation building.\u201d <\/p>\n
