{"id":9667,"date":"2026-02-25T04:29:48","date_gmt":"2026-02-25T04:29:48","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/peoplesforumonline.com.ng\/about\/?p=9667"},"modified":"2026-02-25T04:29:48","modified_gmt":"2026-02-25T04:29:48","slug":"dangote-rolls-out-new-strategy-to-boost-africas-economic-expansion-industrial-development","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/peoplesforumonline.com.ng\/about\/2026\/02\/25\/dangote-rolls-out-new-strategy-to-boost-africas-economic-expansion-industrial-development\/","title":{"rendered":"Dangote Rolls Out New Strategy To Boost Africa\u2019s Economic Expansion, Industrial Development"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Dangote Industries Limited (DIL) has announced an ambitious Vision 2030 strategy aimed at fast\u2011tracking Africa\u2019s industrialisation, strengthening economic self\u2011sufficiency, and empowering the continent\u2019s next generation. <\/p>\n<p>President of the Group, Aliko Dangote, reaffirmed that the company\u2019s long\u2011term direction is focused on building Africa\u2019s capacity to feed itself, power its economy, and develop its people sustainably.<\/p>\n<p>Revealing the Group\u2019s expansion roadmap, Mr. Dangote stated that Dangote Cement is targeting an increase in its production capacity to approximately 90 million tonnes by 2030.<\/p>\n<p>He noted that this scale-up would position the company as one of the world\u2019s most competitive cement producers.\u201cOur ambition goes far beyond building factories,\u201d Dangote said. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe are building the structures that will enable Africa to feed itself, power its industries, and equip its people for long\u2011term prosperity.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Highlighting plans under the Vision 2030 framework, Dangote explained that the goal is to transform DIL into a $100 billion enterprise by 2030 through sustained industrial expansion, cross\u2011border investments, and strengthening Africa\u2019s independence in strategic sectors such as energy, manufacturing, and infrastructure.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cUnder this vision, we have announced the expansion of our petroleum refinery from 650,000 barrels per day to 1.4 million barrels per day, and our fertiliser plant to 12 million metric tonnes per annum,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOur cement business is also on track to reach 90 million tonnes by 2030 \u2014 which means producing 50 percent more than the entire cement output of Saudi Arabia.\u201dAccording to him, Vision 2030 forms a core part of the Group\u2019s<br \/>\n&#8220;Africa First\u201d mission.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;This vision is borne out of my firm belief that Africa\u2019s future will be built by Africans who refuse to accept limits \u2014 people who dream big, work hard, and never stop believing in what is possible.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>As part of its long-term commitment to developing African talent, Dangote said he had announced a \u20a61 trillion ($600 million) education fund in December 2025.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cEmpowering the next generation is essential for building the Africa we envision.
