The President-General of the Maritime Workers\u2019 Union of Nigeria (MWUN), Comrade Francis Bunu Abi, has warmly greeted Muslims across Nigeria and the world as they observe the holy month of Ramadan. <\/p>\n
In a statement issued by MWUN\u2019s Head of Media, Comrade John Kennedy Ikemefuna, Bunu described Ramadan as a sacred season of sober reflection, repentance, and renewal before Almighty Allah. He emphasized that it is a time to seek forgiveness, strengthen family and community bonds, and remember those suffering from wars and insecurity across the globe. <\/p>\n
Bunu noted that insecurity, criminality, and other crimes against humanity continue to plague communities both in Nigeria and internationally. He urged believers to turn to God during this holy period, praying for the restoration of peace and love, and reaffirming that no challenge is too great for the Almighty to resolve. <\/p>\n
Highlighting the importance of the Marine and Blue Economy to Nigeria\u2019s growth, he called on citizens to reflect on its role in national development. He encouraged prayers for Nigeria\u2019s progress and unity, stressing that solidarity, mutual respect, and recognition of one another\u2014regardless of tribe, religion, or status\u2014are essential for peace. <\/p>\n
