Speaking at a parley with journalists in the Command\u2019s Conference Room, he outlined bold steps toward efficiency, transparency, and innovation.  <\/p>\n<p>Comptroller Onyeka announced that the Command will fully transition from paper documentation to paperless operations by the second quarter of 2026. He emphasized that this shift aligns with global best practices and will eliminate delays while streamlining processes.  <\/p>\n<p> \u201cWe shall act as trade enablers, files will not be unnecessarily kept, and we shall collect collectable revenues\u2014not maximum revenue,\u201d he stated.  <\/p>\n<p>The Command recorded \u20a6145.9 billion in revenue in January 2026, surpassing the \u20a6116 billion generated in January 2025. The \u20a629 billion increase underscores the Command\u2019s strong performance in fulfilling its revenue mandate.  <\/p>\n<p>Onyeka expressed optimism about the forthcoming National Single Window (NSW) project, which will integrate logistics supply chain activities into a unified platform, enhancing predictability and efficiency.  <\/p>\n<p>He also highlighted the newly launched One-Stop-Shop (OSS) platform, which centralizes valuation, inspections, and compliance. The OSS replaces fragmented processes with a streamlined digital workflow, ensuring swift resolution of clearance issues.  <\/p>\n<p>Acknowledging the role of the media, Comptroller Onyeka praised journalists for their constructive reportage and pledged continued support. He emphasized the importance of capacity building through training and engagement, while promising improved welfare support for the press.  <\/p>\n<p>As Nigeria\u2019s second busiest revenue-generating Customs Command, Tin Can Island Port has long been recognized for its anti-smuggling and revenue collection activities.
