{"id":9379,"date":"2026-01-23T10:49:32","date_gmt":"2026-01-23T10:49:32","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/peoplesforumonline.com.ng\/about\/?p=9379"},"modified":"2026-01-23T12:32:02","modified_gmt":"2026-01-23T12:32:02","slug":"ibeto-seaport-command-trains-officers-on-ethics-reputation","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/peoplesforumonline.com.ng\/about\/2026\/01\/23\/ibeto-seaport-command-trains-officers-on-ethics-reputation\/","title":{"rendered":"Ibeto Seaport Command Trains Officers on Ethics, Reputation"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>By Tunde Ojudun<\/p>\n<p>The Ibeto Seaport Area 5 Command of the Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) has launched a training program to strengthen ethics and public trust.  <\/p>\n<p>On January 16, 2026, officers gathered in Port Harcourt for the Reputation Management Cascade Training, part of a nationwide push to promote integrity and accountability in customs operations.  <\/p>\n<p>Opening the session, Area Controller Comptroller Usman Yahaya reminded participants that \u201creputation is a currency more valuable than money.\u201d He urged officers to guard their integrity, stressing that personal conduct reflects on the entire Service.  <\/p>\n<p>Five facilitators led modules covering crisis management, media controversies, corruption allegations, and the \u201cGolden 7Cs\u201d guiding customs officers. Sessions included case studies,group discussions, and practical exercises.  <\/p>\n<p>Participants noted that misconduct by one officer can tarnish the image of many.
