The Ports Terminal Multiservices Limited (PTML) Command of the Nigeria Customs Service has recorded a remarkable revenue haul of \u20a6424.58 billion as of December 12, 2025. This was disclosed by Comptroller Joe Anani during the 2025 end-of-year celebration organized by the Customs Officers\u2019 Wives Association (COWA), PTML Chapter.<\/p>\n
Comptroller Anani highlighted that the command has already exceeded its 2024 revenue of \u20a6362.5 billion by over \u20a662 billion, with weeks still remaining in the year. He attributed this success to the effective deployment of the Unified Customs Management System (UCMS), also known as B’Odogwu, which has streamlined operations and enhanced revenue collection.<\/p>\n
Looking ahead, Anani expressed optimism about achieving one-hour clearance for compliant Roll-on\/Roll-off (RoRo) cargoes in 2026, reinforcing the command\u2019s commitment to trade facilitation.<\/p>\n
On anti-smuggling efforts, the Comptroller praised the command\u2019s achievements in intercepting illicit goods, including \u20a629.4 billion worth of cocaine, which was handed over to the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA). He also acknowledged the collaborative support from agencies such as the Nigeria Police, DSS, SON, and NAFDAC, which contributed to the command\u2019s operational success.<\/p>\n
At the same event, Mrs. Caroline Ifeoluwa Anani, Chairperson of the PTML Chapter of COWA, emphasized the association\u2019s vital role in supporting Customs families and enhancing workplace productivity.<\/p>\n
She recounted COWA\u2019s impactful initiatives in 2025, which included: mental health awareness campaigns, free health screenings for blood pressure, blood sugar, and eye care, distribution of medicated glasses, seminars on home management, nutrition, and family wellness, souvenirs for all PTML Customs officers\u2019 spouses<\/p>\n
