The handover ceremony took place on Thursday, 4 December 2025, at the Command Headquarters in Idiroko, marking a seamless transition from outgoing Comptroller Godwin Otunla.<\/p>\n<p> DC Afeni, a seasoned officer with nearly two decades of service, pledged to build on the Command\u2019s achievements in trade facilitation, revenue generation, and anti-smuggling operations.<\/p>\n<p>He emphasized intelligence-led enforcement, inter-agency collaboration, and personnel development as core priorities.<\/p>\n<p>Afeni holds degrees in Industrial Design and Diplomacy &#038; Strategic Studies, and has undergone extensive training in conflict resolution, leadership, and border operations.<\/p>\n<p>In his farewell speech, Compt.
