The President-General of the Maritime Workers\u2019 Union of Nigeria (MWUN), Comrade Prince Adeyanju Adewale, accompanied by members of the Union\u2019s newly elected executive council, paid a courtesy visit to the Managing Director of the Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA), Dr. Abubakar Dantsoho, at the NPA Headquarters in Marina, Lagos, on Wednesday.<\/p>\n
The visit served as an opportunity for the new MWUN leadership to formally introduce themselves to Dr. Dantsoho and his executive team. Comrade Adewale emphasized the importance of fostering a strong working relationship between the Union and the NPA, noting that both institutions are vital partners in the advancement of Nigeria\u2019s maritime sector. \u201cWe must work hand in hand, as neither the Union nor the Authority can operate in isolation,\u201d he stated.<\/p>\n
During the meeting, the MWUN executives also extended their heartfelt congratulations to Dr. Dantsoho and the Honourable Minister of Marine and Blue Economy, Adegboyega Oyetola, on Nigeria\u2019s recent election to the International Maritime Organization (IMO) Category \u2018C\u2019 Council seat.
