He emphasized that the victory reaffirms Nigeria\u2019s strategic role in the Gulf of Guinea and strengthens its influence in shaping global maritime policies.<\/p>\n<p>He also lauded President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for providing the political will and support that enabled Nigeria\u2019s successful campaign, noting that the win will further energize the administration\u2019s efforts to transform the marine and blue economy sector into a key driver of national growth.<\/p>\n<p>According to Ayodele, the timing of the election is ideal, as Nigeria is currently implementing sweeping reforms in port modernization, maritime security, and regulatory efficiency. He stressed that the IMO seat will unlock new opportunities for technical cooperation, global partnerships, and knowledge exchange.<\/p>\n<p>Calling on maritime agencies to capitalize on this momentum, Ayodele urged them to enhance collaboration, improve service delivery, and align operations with international best practices. He emphasized that Nigeria must now demonstrate its readiness to contribute meaningfully to the IMO\u2019s mission.<\/p>\n<p>Reaffirming MARAN\u2019s commitment to the sector, Ayodele pledged continued support through accurate reporting and constructive analysis.
