{"id":898,"date":"2023-04-18T08:46:42","date_gmt":"2023-04-18T08:46:42","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/peoplesforumonline.com.ng\/about\/?p=898"},"modified":"2023-04-18T08:46:42","modified_gmt":"2023-04-18T08:46:42","slug":"inec-suspends-adamawa-rec-indefinitely","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/peoplesforumonline.com.ng\/about\/2023\/04\/18\/inec-suspends-adamawa-rec-indefinitely\/","title":{"rendered":"INEC Suspends Adamawa REC Indefinitely"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, has suspended indefinitely, Hudu Yunusa Ari, the Resident Electoral Commissioner REC in Adamawan state.<\/p>\n<p>His suspension comes after his controversial pronouncement on Sunday of the gubernatorial supplementary election which held in the state.<\/p>\n<p>On Monday, the national headquarters of the electoral umpire ordered Ari to stay away from the commission\u2019s office in Yola, the state capital.<\/p>\n<p>A letter dated April 17, 2023, and signed by INEC Secretary, Rose Oriaran-Anthony, directed the Administrative Secretary in Adamawa to take charge.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI hereby convey the Commission\u2019s decision that you (Barr.
