Alhaji Usman Bello Kankara mni, the Kanwan Katsina and District Head of Ketare in Kankara Local Government Area, has celebrated 25 remarkable years on the throne, his Silver Jubilee as Kanwan Katsina III.<\/p>\n
Turbaned on November 4, 2000, by the late Emir of Katsina, Alhaji Muhammadu Kabir Usman, following the passing of his father, Alhaji Bello Nadabo (Kanwan Katsina II), Alhaji Usman Bello Kankara has exemplified visionary and progressive traditional leadership. A retired Comptroller of Customs, his reign has been marked by dedication to community development and service.<\/p>\n
Over the past two and a half decades, the Kanwan Katsina has advanced education by establishing primary and community secondary schools. He has empowered youth through computer training programs for hundreds of young people. The Kanwan Katsina improved healthcare and agriculture via partnerships with government and development agencies.
\nHe reign has been marked by promotion of peace and security through collaboration with authorities and traditional institutions.<\/p>\n
The popular monarch attributed his achievements to the support of successive Katsina State Governments\u2014led by late Umaru Musa Yar\u2019adua, Ibrahim Shema, Aminu Bello Masari, and current Governor Dikko Umar Radda. He also expressed deep appreciation to the Emir of Katsina, Alhaji Dr. Abdulmumini Kabir Usman, and his council for their guidance.<\/p>\n
The Kanwan Katsina extended heartfelt thanks to village and ward heads, friends, families, and the people of Ketare for their loyalty and support throughout his reign.<\/p>\n
