The Tincan Island Command of the Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) has announced a landmark revenue of \u20a6159 billion for August 2025. This achievement was revealed by Comptroller Frank Onyeka during a ceremony held to decorate newly promoted officers.<\/p>\n
Comptroller Onyeka credited the revenue milestone to the successful deployment of the B\u2019Odogwu system and ongoing trade modernization initiatives. He emphasized the system\u2019s transformative impact, stating, \u201cB\u2019Odogwu is doing well and it will do better. It has come to stay.\u201d<\/p>\n
The B\u2019Odogwu platform integrates all critical customs and port operations into a single digital interface, enabling:
\n– Faster cargo processing
\n– Accurate valuation
\n– Real-time monitoring of port activities<\/p>\n
During the promotion exercise, 89% of officers at the command received new ranks, reflecting the leadership of Comptroller General Bashir Adewale Adeniyi and the dedication of the officers. Among those decorated was Oscar Ivara, the Public Relations Officer, who was elevated to the rank of Chief Superintendent of Customs (CSC).<\/p>\n
