Despite facing network challenges, the Apapa Command of the Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) recorded a remarkable revenue haul of \u20a6215 billion in August 2025, powered by the Unified Customs Management System (UCMS), popularly known as B\u2019Odogwu.<\/p>\n
Customs Area Controller, Comptroller Babatunde Olomu, attributed the achievement to growing confidence in the B\u2019Odogwu platform and the unwavering dedication of customs officers. He extended his gratitude to stakeholders and personnel for their continued support and resilience.<\/p>\n
According to a statement from SC JT Ayagbalo, the Command\u2019s Public Relations Officer, Olomu emphasized that the August revenue milestone reflects the patriotic efforts of officers who have kept the system thriving despite operational hurdles.<\/p>\n
He commended the trading community\u2014importers, exporters, licensed agents, and freight forwarders\u2014for their trust in the system, especially those operating through Nigeria\u2019s premier port in Apapa.<\/p>\n
Drawing inspiration from stakeholder engagements led Adewale Adeniyi, MFR, Olomu reassured the business community that B\u2019Odogwu is on the brink of even greater breakthroughs.<\/p>\n
He described the platform as a homegrown innovation with the potential to transform Nigeria\u2019s trade landscape, and praised users for their patience and contributions to the national economy.<\/p>\n
Olomu also revealed that the CGC has mandated the ICT\/Modernisation Department at NCS Headquarters to intensify efforts in improving B\u2019Odogwu\u2019s performance\u2014resolving technical issues swiftly, listening to user feedback, and enhancing overall service delivery.<\/p>\n
Expressing optimism, Olomu stated: <\/p>\n
\u201cOur collection of \u20a6215 billion using the B\u2019Odogwu platform confirms progress in our ongoing journey to build a dependable platform for trade by Nigerians and all those doing import, export, and excise business in Nigeria.\u201d<\/p>\n
