Kebbi Area Command of Nigeria Customs Service has successfully unfolded a landmark achievement as it processed its first declaration using B\u2019ODOGWU\u2014a proudly indigenous digital platform developed by Officers and Men of the Nigeria Customs Service, in collaboration with concessionaires under the Trade Modernisation Project.<\/p>\n
According to the Public Relations Officer of the command, SC Mohammed Tajuddeen Salisu, the event took place during a sensitization exercise led by ICT Modernisation Officers, stakeholders and officers were introduced to the platform\u2019s capabilities. The event marked a pivotal step toward smarter, more efficient customs operations.<\/p>\n
Comptroller CC Nwokorie, the Customs Area Controller, expressed deep gratitude to the Comptroller-General of Customs, Bashir Adewale Adeniyi, MFR, for his visionary leadership and for entrusting him with the command. He emphasized that B\u2019ODOGWU is not just a tool\u2014it\u2019s the future of customs operations, vital for boosting revenue and facilitating seamless trade.<\/p>\n
Participants, including licensed agents and traders, received hands-on training in registration and usage. Alhaji Muhammad Nahali Kamba, Chairman of the Nigeria Customs Licensed Agents (Kebbi Chapter), praised the initiative and pledged full compliance with its guidelines.<\/p>\n
