The Maritime Workers Union of Nigeria (MWUN) under the aegis of Comrade Francis Bunu Abi begin a process of truce with the management of Melsmore Marine Nigeria Limited.<\/p>\n
Recall that the Maritime Workers Union of Nigeria, through the office of the Secretary – General, Comrade Oniha Erazua, recently issued a 21-Day ultimatum to Melsmore Marine Ltd over a protracted issue of not providing its employees Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA) and Remittance records of Pension Fund Administration (PFA) as requested by the Union.<\/p>\n
However, a statement signed by Comrade John Kennedy Ikemefuna, Head of Media, MWUN, stressed that there’s a new development to the matter as the leadership of the union are already in positive talks with Melsmore management to finding a lasting solution to the quagmire that brought about the 21-Day ultimatum, seeking for mutual a mutual understanding and benefits of both organisations and most importantly the welfare package of the Union’s members, who are bonafide employees of Melsmore Marine Nigeria Limited.<\/p>\n
