In its efforts to ensure that it surpasses its revenue target for the year, the Tin Can Island Port Command of the Nigeria Customs Service has achieved a total revenue collection N347 billion in the first quarter of the year 2025.<\/p>\n
Announcing this during a press briefing at the command on Monday, the Customs Area Controller, Tin Can Island Port Command, Comptroller Frank Onyeka, revealed that the January, 2025 revenue generation record shows a total of \u20a6116, 412,735,766.23 which represents 24.06% over and above the figure of \u20a688, 430,126,122.76 recorded within the corresponding period of 2024.<\/p>\n
According to the controller, the record for February of 2025 also shows that the sum of \u20a6103,254,292,839.23k was generated which is also 2.90 % over and above the sum of \u20a6100,253,187,074.72k generated over the corresponding month of February 2024.<\/p>\n
Comptroller Onyeka also stated that the Command generated the sum of \u20a6128,268,749,635.00k for March 2025 which is 10.3% higher than the \u20a6115,100,000,000.00k generated over the corresponding period of 2024.<\/p>\n
He gave total amount generated for the first quarter of 2025 as \u20a6347,935,672,476.00k which is 12.6% higher than the \u20a6304,000,000,000.00k generated in the corresponding period of 2024.<\/p>\n
The controller used the occasion to emphasize the need for stakeholders to do more honest declarations so that seamless operational environment may exist and all sides may benefit from a much better conducive ecosystem.<\/p>\n
He expressed his appreciation for the support of the Comptroller General of Customs as well the positive reports from the media.<\/p>\n
