As Christians all over the world celebrate the resurrection of Jesus Christ after death on the cross, the National Chairman of the Association of Local Government Vice-Chairmen of Nigeria (ALGOVC), Aarebirin Hon. (Dr) Princess Folashade Olabanji-Oba has tasked Nigerians to seek the face of God for the incoming administration of the President-elect, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
\nShe equally enjoined Nigerians to keep hope alive and co-exist peacefully for the growth and development of the country as Easter is being celebrated.
\nPrincess Folashade Olabanji Oba who is the Executive Vice-Chairman of Ikorodu Local Government as well as the Global Director General of the Asiwaju Distinguished Ambassadors Movement (ADAM) stressed that Easter celebration indicates a fundamental value, which when imbibed, goes a long way in promoting and strengthening the foundation of love, peace and harmony in the country.
\nThe powerful Ikorodu politician said that the Easter season should serve as a reminder to the selflessness, love, sacrifice and tolerance of Jesus Christ throughout His earthly sojourn, death and resurrection.
\nIn her words: “Easter, which essentially is about the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ, symbolises the assurance of the redemptive heritage of all Christians.
\n“We as a people must be ready to make sacrifices, just as the Lord Jesus Christ paid the supreme sacrifice by being crucified on the cross.
\n“Let us utilise this celebration to imbibe the spirit of tolerance, peaceful co-existence and sacrifice for one another because development and growth can only occur in the nation when all tribes and tongues unite and speak with one voice.
\n“The death of Jesus Christ and his resurrection on Easter Sunday gives hope to a world in need of physical and spiritual healing”.
