The Katsina State Government has been commended for various health policies and programs currently being implemented in the state.These programs include immunization campaigns against measles, polio, malaria, and other six child killer diseases, as well as antenatal care services.<\/p>\n
The commendation was contained in a statement signed by the Media Aid of Kanwan Katsina District Head of Ketare, Kankara Local Government, Alhaji Usman Bello Kankara mni, Sarkin Labarun Kanwan Katsina Jamilu Hashimu Gora.
\n In the statement, Alhaji Usman Bello Kankara disclosed that the health officials of Kankara Local Government recently paid him an advocacy visit in his palace and discussed the immunization exercise in the Local Government and requested for his cooperation and assistance for the success of the exercise in Ketare District. Following this advocacy visit, the Kanwan Katsina District Head of Ketare directed all the village and ward heads in Ketare District to commence a robust campaign to ensure the success of the immunization exercise.
\nSimilarly, the District head directed Imams in the district to enlighten their faithfuls on the need to ensure success of the ongoing immunization exercise in Friday sermons and five daily prayers.
\nThe Kanwan Katsina urged parents to ensure that their children are properly immunized, emphasizing the importance of routine immunization and antenatal care, particularly for mothers in rural areas.
\nThe statement further explained that people should use mosquito nets distributed effectively in their homes to prevent malaria, cautioning against the misuse in farmlands.
\nThe Kanwan Katsina expressed his satisfaction with the new centers opened in Ketare District for the distribution of nutritious food to combat malnutrition, and called on the communities to continue supporting government policies and programs for the betterment of their health and wellbeing.<\/p>\n
