The Board of Directors of Fidelity Bank has extended the employment contract of Dr. Nneka Onyeali-Ikpe, its Chief Executive, by additional two years from 2024 to 2026.<\/p>\n
This was contained in the company\u2019s notice to the Nigerian Exchange Limited (NGX) on Monday.<\/p>\n
Ezinwa Unuigboje, the Company secretary, said in the statement, that the board took the decision at its meeting on Feb. 12, 2024.<\/p>\n
The statement said the extension of Onyeali-Ikpe\u2019s contract was in furtherance of the bank\u2019s strategic objectives and based on Onyeali-Ikpe\u2019s sterling performance since the assumption on January 1, 2021.<\/p>\n
\u201cFidelity Bank Plc (the Bank) is pleased to announce its Board of Directors\u2019 decision to extend the employment contract of its GMD\/CEO, Dr. Nneka Onyeali-Ikpe, from 2024 to 2026. <\/p>\n
\u201cThe decision was taken at the Board meeting on February 12, 2024. The extension is in furtherance of the Bank\u2019s strategic objectives and premised on Dr. Nneka Onyeali-Ikpe\u2019s sterling performance since assumption of office on January 1, 2021,\u201d <\/p>\n
The board expressed its confidence that the bank\u2019s performance will continue its upward trajectory under Dr. Nneka Onyeali-Ikpe\u2019s leadership and looks forward to working closely with her and the executive management team.<\/p>\n
Onyeali-Ikpe was appointed Chief Executive of the bank with effect from Jan. 1, 2021.<\/p>\n
