The Chief of Defence Staff, Major General Christopher Musa, conveyed the president\u2019s appreciation while inspecting the impounded MT Kali alongside Tantita and other agencies at Oporoza.
\nMajor General Musa, accompanied by top officials of the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited and high-ranking military personnel, expressed a strong commitment to dealing ruthlessly with oil thieves and their sponsors. <\/p>\n
He emphasized that the apprehended vessel, MT Kali, would be destroyed as per standard practice to serve as a deterrent to potential offenders.
\nWhile addressing the media, General Christopher urged for cooperation between government and private security agencies, discouraging the creation of disaffection.
\n He highlighted the significance of collaboration in achieving better results, stating,
\n \u201cWe are here based on the report of the arrest of this ship, and it\u2019s a major achievement. It shows that we\u2019re committed to ensuring that we stop this criminality within the maritime domain,\u201dhe said.
