{"id":4732,"date":"2024-01-05T18:14:36","date_gmt":"2024-01-05T18:14:36","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/peoplesforumonline.com.ng\/about\/?p=4732"},"modified":"2024-01-05T18:14:36","modified_gmt":"2024-01-05T18:14:36","slug":"exceptional-performance-will-be-duly-rewarded-says-customs-cg","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/peoplesforumonline.com.ng\/about\/2024\/01\/05\/exceptional-performance-will-be-duly-rewarded-says-customs-cg\/","title":{"rendered":"Exceptional Performance Will Be Duly Rewarded, Says Customs CG"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Comptroller-General of Nigeria Customs Service Bashir Adewale Adeniyi has stated that exceptional performance and dedication to duty by officers and men of the service will be duly recognized and rewarded.<br \/>\n Speaking at the decoration ceremony of recently promoted senior Customs officers in Abuja on Thursday, the CGC emphasized that the 2023 promotion exercise was based on outstanding performance and merit.<\/p>\n<p>He charged all officers and personnel to redouble their efforts, assuring them that dedication and commitment to duty would not go unnoticed and unrewarded.<\/p>\n<p>His words: \u201cWhile some of you received regular promotions today, there are others who earned special promotions due to their exceptional performance and commitment to promoting the Service.\u201d <\/p>\n<p>Adeniyi assured that such dedicated officers would be duly recognized and rewarded by the Management Team.<\/p>\n<p>The CGC&#8217;s call on the celebrants aligns with his ongoing efforts to achieve his 3-point agenda: Consolidation, Collaboration, and Innovation, all in support of President Bola Tinubu&#8217;s Renewed Hope Manthra.<br \/>\nThe occasion, attended by the NCS Management Team and family members of the celebrants, marked a historic moment in the service.<br \/>\nACG Florence Nano Ogar-Modey and ACG Queen Ogbudu recently appointed were decorated.<br \/>\nAmong those newly promoted to the rank of Comptrollers are AB Shuaibu, TM Daniyan, F Fajana, N Isyaku, MV Umana, AC Nwobi, F Abdulquadir, HK Ejibunu, FM Ojiofor, IN Aliyu, MD Malah, EO Oshoba, JK Oladeji, E Luka, AP Daruaku, FM Ojeifor, IN Nwokorie, EJ Harrison, and others.<\/p>\n<p>It would be recalled that the breakdown of promotions includes:<br \/>\n&#8211; Inspector of Customs (IC) to Assistant Superintendent of Customs II (ASC II) &#8211; 348<br \/>\n&#8211; ASC II to ASC I &#8211; 321<br \/>\n&#8211; ASC I to Deputy Superintendent of Customs II (DSC) &#8211; 355<br \/>\n&#8211; DSC to Superintendent of Customs (SC) &#8211; 207<br \/>\n&#8211; SC to Chief Superintendent of Customs (CSC) &#8211; 500<br \/>\n&#8211; CSC to Assistant Comptroller (AC) &#8211; 333<br \/>\n&#8211; AC to Deputy Comptroller (DC) &#8211; 78<br \/>\n&#8211; DC to Customs Comptroller (CC) &#8211; 67<\/p>\n<p>In his congratulatory message, the CGC urged the newly appointed and promoted officers to redouble their efforts in executing critical roles, including revenue generation, trade facilitation, and suppression of smuggling.<\/p>\n<p>Assistant Comptroller-General of Customs, Queen Obudu, expressed deep appreciation in her vote of thanks, reassuring unwavering belief that the capabilities of the officers meet up to expectations.<br \/>\n[1\/5, 18:53] Tunde Ojudun: Funke Akindele\u2019s \u2018A Tribe Called Judah\u2019  Grosses \u20a61bn<br \/>\n&#8230; First Nollywood Film to break the record<\/p>\n<p>A Tribe Called Judah has surpassed Black Panther: Wakanda Forever as the highest-grossing film in Nigerian theatres.<\/p>\n<p>The move by popular Nollywood star, Funke Akindele history by becoming the first Nollywood film to surpass \u20a61 billion at the box office.<\/p>\n<p>The movie, which was released on December 15, 2023, has been a massive success, grossing over \u20a6613 million in just two weeks of its release.
