Against the pronouncement in certain quarters that he has been expelled from the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP), its Founder, Dr. Boniface Okechukwu Aniebonam, has stated that nobody can expel him from the party as he is the party’s only live member.
\nAniebonam stated unequivocally that by constitution, as the founder and Chairman of the board he is the number one in the party and no one is greater than him.
\n“How can you wake up one morning and say you expelled the founder who is the only live member and Chairman of the board?” he queried.
\nAniebonam spoke at the prayer session organized by the National Association of Government Approved Freight Forwarders (NAGAFF) in Lagos yesterday for Governor Yusuf Abba’s victory at the Supreme Court.
\nHe hinted that the issue of the leadership of the party had been resolved with the results of the general elections.
\nAccording to him, constitutionally and structurally Governor Abba Yusuf of Kano State is the current leader of NNPP.
\nThe founder affirmed that he’s in touch with the governor which explained why the prayer session was held.
\nHe stated that though people have been making different statements, he has no problem with Senator Rabiu Kwankwanso.
\nExplaining the genesis of the issue at hand, Aniebonam noted that the last time Kwankuaso came to Lagos without the party chairman he insisted that he could not hold a meeting with him in the absence of the chairman.
\nHe added that Kwankuso agreed to go back to Abuja and come along with the chairman.
\nHe guessed that when the NNPP presidential candidate in the last general elections got to Abuja he was advised by sycophants and bootlickers not to mind him.
\nAniebonam maintained that he’s still waiting for Kwakwanso to come down to Lagos and see him with the chairman for the trio to have a meeting.
\nHe declared that his party had Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Kwankwasiya Movement and The National Movement (TNM) just for the purpose of the the general elections and that once the elections were over the MoU automatically needs to be reviewed.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
