Fire has gutted at a section of the University College Hospital (UCH) in Ibadan, Oyo State, leading to immediate evacuation of patients.<\/p>\n
The fire broke out in a part of the hospital building on Saturday and this caused panic the people in the facility.<\/p>\n
The UCH Public Relations Officer, Funmi Adetuyibi, confirmed this and was quoted by TheCable as saying, \u201cThe fire happened in a room in one of our intensive care units but it did not affect any patients at the ICU.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe patients have been moved elsewhere. The fire started in the nurses lounge,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
He added, \u201cThe fire has been put out. Everywhere is cool and calm and the hospital is running its normal service now.<\/p>\n
