{"id":3367,"date":"2023-08-19T07:44:02","date_gmt":"2023-08-19T07:44:02","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/peoplesforumonline.com.ng\/about\/?p=3367"},"modified":"2023-08-19T07:44:02","modified_gmt":"2023-08-19T07:44:02","slug":"importation-of-goods-cbn-demands-price-verification-report-from-importers","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/peoplesforumonline.com.ng\/about\/2023\/08\/19\/importation-of-goods-cbn-demands-price-verification-report-from-importers\/","title":{"rendered":"Importation of Goods: CBN demands price verification report from importers"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) says a price verification report will now be required from importers requesting for foreign exchange.<\/p>\n<p>The apex bank said in a statement on Thursday night that price verification report from the portal would be mandatory for all Form M requests from August 31, 2023.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cFollowing the successful conduct of the pilot run and various trainings held with all the banks, the Central Bank of Nigeria hereby announces the Go- Live of the Price Verification System (PVS).<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAll applications for Forms M shall be accompanied by a valid price verification report generated from the price verification portal.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cFor the avoidance of doubt, by this circular, the price verification report has become a mandatory trade document precedent to the completion of a Form M,\u201d CBN said.<\/p>\n<p>It advised authorised dealers to inform their customers of this development.<\/p>\n<p>The bank also said any case of infraction would be appropriately sanctioned.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) says a price verification report will now be required from importers requesting for foreign exchange.
