President Bola Ahmed Tinubu did not promise immediate solutions to Nigeria\u2019s problems, the former National Chairman of All Progressives Congress (APC) and senator representing Edo North Senatorial District, Senator Adams Oshiomhole has asserted.
\nOshiomhole who was speaking on Channel Television on Sunday night stated that Nigerians know they did not elect a magician who promised a magical solution.<\/p>\n
As the economy bites and Tinubu\u2019s administration continues to grapple with a deteriorating economy, the former APC National Chairman enjoined Nigerians to be patient, adding that the president was not a miracle worker who can magically transform the nation\u2019s economy suddenly.<\/p>\n
\u201cYou don\u2019t need to give me an example. I know what we (APC) promised more than you, who was reporting it. Whatever you reported, we were the source,\u201d the former governor of Edo State remarked.
\n\u201cWe did not promise a 24-hour solution. We did not promise miracles. We did not promise an overnight solution.<\/p>\n
\u201cThey know they were not electing a magician. And nobody promised a magical solution.<\/p>\n
\u201cYou show me any document that says in 48 hours, this will be done. In 14 days, this should be done. In 21 days, this should be done,\u201d Oshiomhole said in defence of Tinubu government.
\nIn his inaugural speech on May 29, 2023, Tinubu announced the removal of fuel subsidy.
