The Chairman of Nigerians in Diaspora Commission (NiDCOM), Mrs Abike Dabiri-Erewa, has acknowledged the efforts of three universities to absorb Nigerian returnee students from Sudan.<\/p>\n
Dabiri-Erewa stated this when she received the Vice-Chancellor of Igbinedion University, Prof. Lawrence Ikechukwu Ezemonye in Abuja.<\/p>\n
The institutions are Igbinedion University, Okada, Edo State, Summit University, Offa, Kwara State and American University, The Gambia.<\/p>\n
She promised to relay the message to returnee students and that those who are interested will follow the right procedures.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe visited JAMB and JAMB has given conditions, processes and guidelines to follow.<\/p>\n
\u201cI am sure you are aware of these.<\/p>\n
\u201cAnd even if you admit them, we will need that letter that say JAMB has given them admission.<\/p>\n
\u201cSo, we will avoid situations that after graduation they can\u2019t go for youth service,\u201d she added.<\/p>\n
NiDCOM boss thanked the visiting VC for the admission offer to Nigerian students who have returned from Sudan.<\/p>\n
\u201cI also thank you for saying you will give a generous concession for them.\u201d<\/p>\n
Earlier, Prof. Ezemonye explained that the institution had programmes accredited by the National Universities Commission (NUC) and other professional bodies.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
