Nigerians have been urged to carry forward the values of sacrifice, discipline, and selflessness imbibed during the holy month of Ramadan into their daily lives. In his Eid El-Fitr goodwill message, as Muslims celebrate end of Ramadan across Nigeria and beyond, the Director-General of the Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency (NIMASA), Dayo Mobereola, also called for renewed commitment to compassion, unity, and service to humanity as guiding principles for national development. The NIMASA boss described the end of Ramadan as a moment of deep spiritual reflection and renewal.
He emphasized that the lessons of Ramadan—particularly empathy, charity, and communal harmony—remain essential for strengthening social cohesion in a diverse nation like Nigeria. According to him, collective adherence to these ideals will foster peace and sustainable development.
Mobereola noted that the Eid celebration presents an opportunity for Nigerians to reinforce their shared humanity and commitment to building a more inclusive and prosperous society. He prayed that the season would bring peace, hope, and renewed strength to the nation, encouraging all citizens to continue promoting unity and mutual respect beyond religious and cultural lines.
