The Maritime Workers’ Union of Nigeria (MWUN), under the leadership of its President-General, Comrade Francis Bunu Abi, announces with deep sorrow the passing of Comrade Taofeek Dabiri, Deputy President-General (DPG) of the Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA) branch.
Comrade Dabiri was a distinguished unionist, admired for his humility, dignity, and exemplary conduct. Known for his cheerful personality and unique style, he was beloved by colleagues and respected across ranks. His presence brought warmth and positivity to every gathering, and his rare qualities made him a shining example of camaraderie and leadership.
President-General Comrade Bunu Abi, visibly shaken by the loss, described Dabiri as “a good man of honour, ever dependable and responsive, whose legacy will remain indelible in the Union’s history.” He further prayed for Almighty Allah to grant him Aljannah Firdaus and asked for divine mercy and protection over his family.
The MWUN family will continue to cherish his memory as it carries forward the values he embodied. Comrade Dabiri’s contributions to the Union and his remarkable character will remain evergreen in the hearts of all who knew him.
