The Maritime Reporters Association of Nigeria (MARAN) extends its heartfelt condolences to our esteemed former President, Elder Asu Beks, on the painful and untimely loss of his cherished wife, Mrs. Helen Asu Beks, who passed away on Thursday, 15th November 2025.
We are deeply saddened by this tragic event and join our colleagues across the maritime industry and beyond in mourning her departure. Mrs. Helen Asu Beks was a gracious and loving woman whose memory will forever remain in our hearts.
In this moment of profound grief, we pray that the Almighty grants Elder Asu Beks, his children, and the entire Asu Beks family the strength, comfort, and fortitude to bear this irreplaceable loss. May the soul of our dearly departed Amazon find eternal rest in the bosom of the Lord.
To our dear Elder Asu Beks, we say: Take heart, Sir. The Lord promises that those who sleep in Him shall rise again on that glorious Resurrection Morning, never to part again.
MARAN stands with you in unwavering solidarity and fervent prayers, trusting that God’s grace will continue to uphold and sustain you.
