Comrade Adeyanju Celebrates Mrs. Kenechi Okezie at 50

Comrade Adewale Adeyanju, the immediate past President-General of the Maritime Workers Union of Nigeria (MWUN), Deputy President of the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC), and Vice President Global of the International Transport Workers Federation (ITF), extends warm congratulations to Mrs. Kenechi Okezie on the occasion of her 50th birthday, celebrated on November 1st, 2025.

Mrs. Okezie, the dynamic and dedicated Port Manager of the Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA), Port Harcourt Port, Rivers State, was praised by Comrade Adeyanju as a woman of exceptional character, unwavering faith, and remarkable leadership. He described her as a disciplined, responsible, and visionary maritimer whose contributions to the sector are both impactful and enduring.

Reflecting on his tenure as President-General of MWUN, Comrade Adeyanju acknowledged Mrs. Okezie’s steadfast support for the Union and her consistent efforts in advancing the maritime industry. He emphasized her reliability and professionalism, noting that she remains a pillar of strength within the sector.

Now serving as Chairman of the MWUN Board of Trustees, Comrade Adeyanju expressed his hope that their collaborative relationship will continue to thrive. He offered heartfelt prayers for her continued health, prosperity, and long life, enriched by divine grace.

In a personal message, he referred to Mrs. Okezie as “my dear sister,” encouraging her to keep the momentum going at NPA and to continue building a legacy that will be remembered for generations. He concluded with a touching tribute:
