The Maritime Reporters’ Association of Nigeria (MARAN) has congratulated Comptroller-General of Customs, Bashir Adewale Adeniyi, on his landmark election as Chairman of the World Customs Organization (WCO) Council.
The announcement was made by the Nigeria Customs Service spokesperson, Assistant Comptroller Abdullahi Maiwada, following the conclusion of the 145th/146th WCO Council Meetings held on Saturday, June 28, 2025, at the WCO Headquarters in Brussels. The Council represents the highest authority in global Customs governance.
