MWUN PG, Bunu Appreciates Stakeholders, Celebrates Muslims on Eid-El-Fitri

The new President -General of Maritime Workers Union of Nigeria (MWUN), Comrade Francis Bunu Abi has expressed his appreciation to the government functionaries across all strata, the maritime industry stakeholders, captains of industries, entrepreneurs of various businesses across the country, labour leaders, veterans of MWUN leaders, men of the fourth estate of the realm, traditional rulers, and various distinguished Nigerians, who graced the union’s book launch and the successful Quadrennial Conference held recently at the Festival Hotel, Amuwo Odofin, Lagos.

According to a press statement issued by Comrade John Kennedy Ikemefuna, Head of Media, MWUN, the Delta State born trained Business Administrator; Maritime Expert, and a seasoned Sailor who now leads the MWUN also extended his greetings to all the Muslim faithfuls in the country on the occasion of the EID -EL-FITR at the end of the Holy Ramadan fast.

Comrade Bunu urged all Muslim brothers and sisters in the country to emulate the teachings of Prophet Muhammad (Peace Be Unto Him) by demonstrating the act of love, kindnesses, charity, and forgiveness towards one another as these are the tenets of Islam as recorded in the Holy Quran.

He further admonished Muslims across the world to eschew violence and to embrace peace, togetherness; and to be of good cheers always in their daily activities, stressing that tolerance is the key for peaceful coexistence amongst humanity irrespective of tribe, descent, colour or religion.

The pragmatic and quintessential President-General of the union, wished all the Muslims a happy and peaceful Sallah celebration.
