Oramalugo Takes Over As Seme Customs Controller

The Seme Area Command of the Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) now has a new area controller, Comptroller Benedict Oramalugo PhD, following the retirement of his predecessor, Comptroller Kayode Kolade.

Comptroller Oramalugo who was until his recent redeployment was the area controller of Oyo/Osun Customs command officially took over on Tuesday, 11 February 2025, with a brief handing-over ceremony at the ECOWAS complex of the Seme-Krake Joint Border Post.

Deputy Comptroller Enforcement, DC Istifanus D. Musa, who had been overseeing the command since the former Area Controller’s retirement, welcomed Comptroller Oramalugo and assured him of the commitment, support, and cooperation of all officers within the Command.

Responding, Comptroller Oramalugo commended the efforts of the officers and men of the command and assured them and all other stakeholders of his dedication to the policy thrust of the Comptroller General of Customs.

He promised an open-door policy and urged officers to enhance their capacities to move the command and the Service to greater heights.

The new controller expressed his gratitude to the Comptroller General of Customs, Bashir Adewale Adeniyi MFR, and his Management team for the opportunity to serve in various capacities.

As the Customs Area Controller of the Oyo/Osun Command, he performed creditably well and was rewarded with the Outstanding Controller of the Year 2024 at the CGC’s Award.
