ITF Women’s Wing Elects Officers

The Women’s Wing of the International Transport Workers Federation (ITF) Nigeria has elected executives to run the affairs of the wing.
Elections into various offices were conducted during the 7th International Transport Workers Federation (ITF) Women Delegate Conference held in December, 2024.

The elected executives are as listed below:

1).Comrade ( sister) Funmi Fasan – Chairperson (MWUN)
2) ” Sister Omolabake Adelakun – Vice Chairperson (ROAD)
3) ” Sister Safiya Araya – Vice Chairperson (NUATE)
4) ” Sister Amos Chidiebele – Secretary (M/Navy)
5) ” Sister Rukayat Shuaibu – Asst Secretary (ATSSAN)
6) ” Sister Ayegba Sarah – Treasurer (RAIL)
7) ” Sister Ogochukwu Ibegbunam – Financial Secretary (ANAP)

Others are
8) Comrade Sister Modupe Odunmuyiwa- Auditor (ROAD)
9) ” Sister Onyeka Anthonia – Welfare (RAIL)
10) ” Sister Okezie Dickson Ijeoma – 1st Trustee (M/Navy)
11) ” Sister Uguru Fidelia Uwaoma – 2nd Trustee (NUATE)
12) ” Sister Oloyede Olaide – 1st PRO (ATSSAN)
13) ” Sister Popoola Temitope – 2nd PRO (MWUN)
14) the last but not the least is Comrade Sister Igbokwe Ngozi Tochi – Ex-Officio.

According to a statement issued by the Head Media, Maritime Workers Union of Nigeria (MWUN), Comrade John Kennedy Ikemefuna, the
conference began with an opening prayer and also ended with a closing prayer after a very successful quadrennial delegate conference from the aforementioned affiliate Unions to the ITF (Women’s Wing) as recorded against the names of elected executive officers in their various designations. The statement disclosed that the executives will serve for a period of four years as stipulated in the constitution.
