For his satisfactory operational strategy and doggedness, the Customs Controller of Ijora Export Terminal, Comptroller Ajibola Odusanya has been honoured with the Excellence Diamond Award as the Most Outstanding Controller of the Year 2023 on Cargo Exports.
The honour was bestowed on him by the popular maritime activist group, Save Nigeria Freight Forwarders, Importers and Exporters Coalition (SNFFIEC) on Tuesday in Lagos.
Presenting the award to the controller, the National Coordinator of the group, Dr. Chukwu Osita ksji, noted that Compt. Odusanya’s antecedent, support to economic building and promotion of trade and human capacity development as well as revenue generation is worthy of emulation.
Dr. Osita added that the controller was being honoured specifically for his inestimable legacy during his tenure as the Head of Administration in Apapa premier port before he “proceeded to a higher task as Comptroller of Inspectorate Headquarters, Abuja and now in charge of Export Terminal and Processing Centre, Ijora respectfully.”
SNFFIEC National Coordinator also lauded Comptroller Odusanya for always performing beyond expectations in any daunting task he is given.
Responding, the controller remarked that he does his job as should be expected of an officer without expecting any reward in any form.
He thanked the group for the honour and dedicated the award to officers and men of the
Export Terminal.
