The Federal government has announced that the Adeniji Adele section of the Third Mainland Bridge in Lagos State would be closed for repair on Saturday, October 21 and Sunday, October 22.

Lagos state Federal Controller of Works, Olukorede Kesha made the announcement on Thursday.

Kesha emphasised that the government is ready to begin a comprehensive rehabilitation project on the bridge, starting with repairs of the critical portions.

The controller advised motorists to use alternative routes where possible during the period as the Adeniji bound of the bridge will be closed to traffic.

“However, in order to alleviate the pains currently being experienced on the bridge, the Ministry would be carrying out palliative works on the most critically failed sections along the Adeniji-bound carriageway on Sunday, Oct. 22 preparatory to the comprehensive repair works,” Kesha said.
