Fifteen inmates of Kirikiri Correctional Centre have graduated in Quranic recitation, courtesy of Bomarah Foundation. The graduation ceremony took place on Sunday 16th July, 2023 at the correctional centre. It was another of success in history of Bomarah Foundation.
The 15 inmates graduated with Quran recitation and Certificates, led by distinguished Dcp. Sikiru Balogun Dcc. Kirikiri correction Center, Apapa-Lagos.
Other
Dignitaries include His Royal Majesty, Engr. (Dr.) AMB. Murtala Alimi Ishola, the Oba of Kano, her Majesty Olori Halimah Murtala, the Oba Funtua and her Olori, Sheikh AkeugbaGold Taofeek as well as Alhaja Modupe Sanni Chairman/CEO, Shine Shine Cosmetics Ltd. (Iya Agbesinga Adini of Nigeria) and many others.
The guest lecturer, Sheikh AkeugbaGold during his speech advised the graduates to keep on praying to Almighty Allah for forgiveness and freedom.
Sheikh also
prayed that Almighty Allah will comfort their souls with gladness and lasting refief from all burdens of life.
The President and Founder, Bomarah Foundation, Hajia Bola Muse, appreciated Almighty Allah for making the 2nd Quranic recitation a success.
She congratulated the graduants
and advised them to have faith in Allah.
In 2021, Bomarah Foundation enrolled inmates for General School Certificate Examination (GSCE) and got them admitted into the Open University. Presently some are graduates.
Lukman Olowo, a Master degree holder from the Open University is a product of Bomarah Foundation.
Bomarah Foundation built a shoe and bag factory in Kirikiri Correctional Center for inmates.
Twenty-five inmates have graduated in Wolimot Quranic Recitation from 2021 till date.
