Save Nigeria Applauds CGC Adeniyi, Celebrates Newly Appointed DCGs and ACGs

The National Coordinator of Save Nigeria Freight Forwarders, Importers & Exporters Coalition (SNFFIEC), Chief Osita Chukwu PhD, has applauded the Comptroller General of the Nigeria Customs Service, Bashir Adewale Adeniyi MFR, for his inclusive and merit-driven appointments of Deputy Comptroller Generals (DCGs) and Assistant Comptroller Generals (ACGs).

Chief Chukwu praised the CGC for ensuring equitable representation across all geopolitical zones, describing the appointments as a unifying move that gives every Nigerian a sense of belonging. “This is a true reflection of national character and fairness,” he stated.

Among those celebrated for their elevation are:
– DCGs: Dera Nnadi, OC Orbih, AB Mohammed, and GO Omale
– ACGs: Babatunde Olomu, AB Shuaibu, TM Daniyan, CC Dim, B Oramalugo, IK Oladeji, CA Awo, MP Binga, AT Abe, K Mohammed, B Mohammed, and OP Olaniyan.

Chief Chukwu highlighted the exceptional contributions of DCG Dera Nnadi, noting his transformative leadership at Tin Can Customs Command, both administratively and structurally. He also commended ACG Babatunde Olomu for his groundbreaking achievements in revenue generation at Apapa Command, including:
– A leap from ₦931.1 billion in 2023 to ₦2.2 trillion in 2024
– A record ₦18.9 billion collected in a single day (March 14, 2025)
– An unprecedented monthly revenue of ₦264.455 billion in October 2024

“These appointments are not just timely—they are earned,” Chief Chukwu emphasized. “They reflect the dedication, competence, and integrity of officers who have consistently delivered results.”

He urged all newly appointed officers to remain committed to excellence and uphold the values of transparency and service in their new roles.
