The Maritime Workers Union of Nigeria (MWUN) felicitates all Muslims across the world on this year’s celebration of Prophets Muhammad birthday (Peace be Unto Him) Nigeria and across the globe.
The pragmatic leader of the Union seized the occasion of the birthday to eulogies Muslim faithful in Nigeria thanking them for their resilience in the face of hardship, and financial crisis; while demonstrating sincere love and charity towards neighbors, family members, colleagues, and amongst members of same faith, Christians inclusive as preached by the Prophet while on earth according to Islamic injunctions as recorded in the Holy Quran.
The Maritime Expert, seasoned sailor and astute administrator, Comrade Bunu said the society can’t be peaceful if we as brothers and sisters of all religions cannot love each other; hence our peaceful coexistence will not be guaranteed, because “Peace” and “love” amongst all, is one of the major tenets of Islam. The MWUN PG further stressed that Islam is religion of peace, therefore abhors violence amongst humanity believing that all human race are creatures of Almighty Allah, hence we must love each other noting that we are from same source of life.
He, however, praised all Muslims communities across the country and beyond, saying that their patience towards one another would help the country to solve the numerous questions of insecurity that’s threatening Nigeria as a country and the entire global village.
He further advised Muslims to be tolerant at all times, reflecting on the Prophet’s birthday, who lived exemplary life; doing good, eschewing rancor and bitterness, and quick to forgiveness, as such were the supreme qualities of the Almighty Allah; whilst congratulating all the Muslims on this day.
