The Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency (NIMASA) is deepening its partnership with the Nigerian Society of Engineers (NSE) to accelerate the development of Nigeria’s maritime sector and unlock the full potential of the Blue Economy.
During a courtesy visit by NSE President, Engr. Margaret Aina Oguntala, to NIMASA headquarters in Lagos, Director General Dr. Dayo Mobereola emphasized the pivotal role of engineering professionalism in building a robust maritime infrastructure. He reaffirmed NIMASA’s commitment to collaborating with the NSE in line with the Federal Government’s Renewed Hope Agenda and the strategic goals of the Blue Economy.
Engr. Oguntala echoed this sentiment, highlighting the NSE’s alignment with national efforts to harness marine resources for sustainable growth. She expressed confidence that closer cooperation between both organizations would spark innovation, improve infrastructure, and contribute meaningfully to Nigeria’s economic development.
The meeting concluded with a shared pledge to strengthen ties and work together to advance the maritime industry for the benefit of the nation.
