The Maritime Workers Union of Nigeria (MWUN), under the leadership of Comrade Francis Bunu Abi, has officially inaugurated four new haulage units under the Dockworkers Branch of the Union in Delta State.
The newly established units and their appointed officers are:
1. Ifiekoro/Obeji Unit
– Chairman: Comrade Endurance Odongharo Bobele
– Secretary: Comrade Andy Eyifoma Omagbemi
2. Sapele Unit
– Chairman: Comrade Felix Oborodowan
– Secretary: Comrade Akoko Aghogho
3. Koko Unit
– Chairman: Comrade Happy Wilkie
– Secretary: Comrade Bright Dumkpemi
4. Oghara Unit
– Chairman: Comrade Daniel Ayoka
– Secretary: Comrade Tanno Kingsley
Following the swearing-in ceremony, Comrade Agboola Bolaji, President of the Dockworkers Branch, commended the newly inaugurated officers and urged them to uphold the Union’s constitution in all their duties. He emphasized the importance of discipline, integrity, and professionalism, reminding them that their conduct reflects on the Union as a whole.
Comrade Bolaji, known for his firm yet thoughtful leadership, congratulated the officers and encouraged them to serve as proud ambassadors of MWUN. He described the inauguration as a pivotal moment that ushers in a new era of growth and representation for the Union across Delta State.
