*Mobereola urges beneficiaries to let their elevation inspire greater excellence
The Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency (NIMASA) has announced the promotion of 243 staff members, reinforcing its commitment to merit-based career advancement and staff welfare.
Among the newly elevated are 9 Deputy Directors who now assume the role of Directors, including key figures such as Mrs. Moji Jimoh (Coordinator, Abuja Liaison Office), Dr. Odunayo Ani (Director, Internal Audit), Mrs. Nneka Obianyor (Special Adviser to the DG), and Mrs. Biodun Fatade (Director, Procurement). Others promoted to Director level include Dr. Oma Ofodile, Ms. Gloria Anyasodo, Mr. Abdulahi Yelwa, Umar Buba, and Mr. Umar Ibrahim Sidi.
In addition:
– 30 Assistant Directors were promoted to Deputy Directors
– 35 Chiefs advanced to Assistant Directors
– 169 staff members moved up one grade level
Director General Dr. Dayo Mobereola congratulated the newly promoted officers, emphasizing that the exercise was strictly based on merit. He encouraged them to view their elevation as a call to higher performance and renewed dedication to the Agency’s mission.
He restated the commitment of the agency to staff welfare and a transparent promotion process. According to him, this is a reward for excellence, and NIMASA expects even greater productivity in return.
